We are pleased to share LTA Tennis Foundation’s (LTA TF) Annual Report, showcasing the charity’s work and impact throughout 2025.
2025 marked a major milestone for LTA TF. With support from our learning and evaluation partner, Bean Research, we received the first full set of impact data from our Grant Making Framework. The results highlight the scale of our impact, with more than £21m of social value generated in 2025, thanks to our incredible network of funded partners.
Grant Making Framework
Since its launch, LTA TF has awarded £4m to 47 organisations, enabling partners to use tennis as a powerful tool to improve lives. In 2025 we welcomed 10 new partners and awarded multi‑year scale grants to six existing partners, enabling them to grow and deepen the impact of their proven programmes.
New partners included Community Integrated Care, who bring tennis into social care settings, and The Ripple Project, which introduces children and young people to tennis while building core skills, boosting confidence and reducing social isolation.
Existing partners supported to scale their impact include Get Set 4 Tennis, expanding opportunities for disabled young people to gain coaching qualifications, and CORE & Co Foundation, growing delivery in some of the most underserved communities in Birmingham.

Measuring Our Impact
Impact measurement was a major focus in 2025, giving us a clear view of the real‑world difference our grant funded partners are making across Britain. The data shows:
- Improved mental and physical health
- Reduced social isolation
- More inclusive tennis opportunities for disabled people
Alongside generating £21.4m of social value, grant funding positively impacted 34,424 people. Social Value analysis estimates the social, economic, and wellbeing value created by LTA TF, showing how investment in people and communities generates wider public benefit and potential cost savings over time. This was calculated building on Sport England's social value methodology and framework.
Evidence from funded partners shows:
- 91% of participants were more physically active
- 80% reported improved wellbeing
- 94% experienced increased confidence
Impact measurement will continue to be a priority, with plans to broaden our evaluation to capture learning and insight from the facility investment programme and wider funding streams.

Enabling Communities and Schools
Alongside grant making, we continued to support LTA delivered programmes aligned to our mission, including funding for:
- 133 equipment bags and 180 visually impaired tennis balls for LTA Open Court, supporting 18k disabled people to access tennis
- Over 200 equipment packs for LTA SERVES venues, supporting over 35k people from underserved communities to play tennis
- 1,272, £250 FAGE LTA Youth schools' vouchers to fund team teaching or equipment, helping introduce hundreds of thousands of children to tennis
Developing Facilities
We continued to support the LTA’s facility investment programme, approving £2m across 17 projects to help venues improve their facilities and make tennis more accessible to local communities. This funding also helped unlock a further £2.8m in partnership investment. Evidence shows a significant increase in Pay and Play bookings at venues receiving loans, helping them engage more people and strengthen long‑term sustainability.
The Park Tennis Project, a nationwide investment by the UK Government and LTA TF, delivered by the LTA concluded in 2025, with more than 3,000 park courts transformed. During the summer, Sir Andy Murray joined local primary school children at the project’s closing ceremony, highlighting the importance of accessible community facilities.

Fundraising and Support
Several British players supported projects they are passionate about. Katie Boulter hosted Tea and Tennis at the National Tennis Centre with Age UK, while Jacob Fearnley spent time during the HSBC Championships chatting with a newly qualified disabled coach from Get Set 4 Tennis, sharing advice and encouragement.
Fundraising continued to build in 2025, with more of the tennis community supporting the charity than ever before, and the grass court season remained a key moment, including the launch of new fundraising initiatives and new partnerships.
We are hugely grateful to all partners and supporters, who enable the charity to deliver its mission.

Looking Ahead
As our current three‑year strategic cycle draws to a close at the end of 2026, we are preparing to shape the next 3-year (2027-29) strategic plan for the charity. Building on all we have achieved and learned, we are committed to ensuring the continuity of our impactful work. Continuing to build financial stability and growing our fundraising will be vital to sustaining this impact for the years ahead.
Tim Lawler MBE, LTA Tennis Foundation Chair of Trustees, said, “It has been an amazing year for LTA Tennis Foundation. In a short space of time, we have seen outstanding impact generated through our funding, driven by an incredible network of partners. I hope you enjoy reading more about the difference achieved together. Thank you to everyone who continues to support our work to improve lives through tennis.”
